Like a baby bird is tucked under its mother’s wing, the one-of-a-kind Avecita is nestled inside our main restaurant, Ave. Avecita is the resort’s signature dinner-only venue, a theatrical culinary experience showcasing Spanish tapas-inspired dishes. The focus of the contemporary space is the chefs’ bar, where you and eight other lucky guests see the custom tastings as they are created before your eyes.

Behind the bar are three communal tables seating 30 additional guests. Here you’ll enjoy a Spanish tapas-style menu. An inventive beverage-pairing program features rare and iconic Spanish wines along with handmade cocktails that blend in local produce.

Whether you’re seated at the chef’s bar or at the communal table, Avecita is a culinary memory you’ll take home as a favorite souvenir.

Meet the Chef

Chef Massimo De Francesca’s penchant for simple, uncomplicated ingredients comes honestly. He studied at the Culinary Arts Program at George Brown College in Toronto, including time spent on Italy’s Adriatic Coast with Michelin-starred chef Vincenzo Cammerucci. Now, Chef Massimo is thrilled to contribute to Grand Cayman’s foodie scene at our trio of dining venues.
